With a new year upon us, the typical routine is for individuals to set resolutions. In the majority of cases, resolutions tend to fail within a few months, or even worse, a matter of days. A better approach, in my opinion, is to regularly analyze life and try for continual improvement. This can be achieved through application of skills learnt from the monthly reading of a new book. This year, I will be following this approach. Additionally, I will bring all my Facebook, Instagram and personal website friends along for the ride.
January’s book of the month will be ‘Deep Work’ by professor Cal Newport. Deep Work focuses on the development of the ability to focus without distraction on demanding tasks.
Check back in early February for my complete summary.
